GEOSPATIAL ANALYSIS OF INSECURITY AND ITS THREAT ON ROAD TRANSPORTATION IN KADUNA STATE NIGERIA

The escalating waves of criminal activities involving motorists and other road users on highways is alarming, consequently resulting in many travellers losing lives properties. This paper aimed at analyzing the spatial distribution its threat transportation across state. study utilized both primary secondary data sources namely: structured questionnaire (likert scale), FGD printed material such as journals records from security agency. ArcGIS software was used to determine pattern area. analyzed using Microsoft Excel Package results were presented charts. indicated that state bedeviled with four major types insecurities which are arm robbery, Kidnapping, Ethnic violence religious armed robbery predominate 32%. also more than 61% LGAs had faced least one attacked for period 2017 2021. areas bothering thick forests Birnin Gwari, Chikun Giwa Local Government Areas heavily hit by activities. It recommended apparatus should be placed problematic proactive majors minimize incidences attacks.
